Angelisa is a recent graduate from UCSC with a degree in Film and Digital Media and a minor in Anthropology. She has been working in youth development and teaching video production in the Bay Area since 2010. Her number one goal at the Satellite is to create community-building events for small business owners, freelancers and artists in the Santa Cruz area.
Becca has an award-winning background as an executive producer of television magazine shows, news programs and documentaries. She is the Executive Director of Community Television of Santa Cruz County and Community Media Access Partnership in Gilroy, CA. In addition to a deep content expertise in health programs, Ms. Reed has produced numerous news and public affairs programs, live events, and cultural and performance programs. She has produced in the field, in studio, on sound stages, via satellite and microwave, and for local and national broadcast or syndication.
Jay keeps the tech world of The Satellite humming, from broadband to data networks to cloud infrastructure to videoconferences and VoIP phones. Raised in Chicago, he started a small computer company years ago, learning on the job. He’s run IT for motorhome dealerships and dabbled in the logging industry, but specializes in network management.
